Born and raised in Hanson, Ken Sweezey grew up working in his family's small business, learning the challenges local businesses face firsthand.
With diverse experience from law enforcement to the biotech industry and now to public service, Ken understands what it takes to not only protect our communities but help them grow. He is an advocate for our families, our small businesses, and our towns. He is fighting against burdensome taxes and government overreach from Beacon Hill.

Affordability
Beacon Hill wants to continue raising taxes, slapping unnecessary fees on your utility bills, and chasing small businesses out of our communities. Ken has a record of working to lessen the burden on our families and will continue to do so as State Representative.
Accountability
72% of Massachusetts voters supported the Audit, yet voters have not received transparency. Ken has voted and been outspoken in support of the Audit. He will continue to respect the will of voters and push to open the books on Beacon Hill.
Community Focused
Ken has constantly proved he will fight for and defend our towns, by opposing the outrageous one-size-fits-all MBTA Communities Act, pushing back on allowing Battery Farms in residential communities, and bringing increased local aid back to the district rather than forcing our communities into Prop 2 ½ overrides. He understands we need to take bold stances to defend the character, safety, and financial future of our towns.
Duxbury Beach
Ken has proven that promises made are promises kept. He ran on a platform to increase recreational access to Duxbury Beach and done the work on Beacon Hill to move legislation forward. Ken will assure that any Powder Point Bridge project makes sense for the long term financial health of the town.
Public Safety
Ken protects those that protect us. He has been a fierce advocate for our local police and fire departments as a member of the Public Safety Committee making sure they always have a seat at the table. He brings his previous career experience in a forensic crime lab to inform his legislation.

Consisting of the town of Duxbury, Precinct 2, of the town of Halifax, Precincts 2, and 3, of the town of Hanson, Precincts 2A, and 4, of the town of Marshfield, and Precincts 1, 2, 3A, 4, and 5, of the town of Pembroke, all in the county of Plymouth.
